Winterspice, or Lebkuchengewuerz is the blend of spices traditionally used when baking Lebkuchen also known as Honey Cake in Germany. I make my own spice mix with Coriander, Cardamom, Orange and Lemon peel, Cinnamon, Star Anise, Cloves, and Nutmeg.

Combined with the intensity of the dark chocolate, it brings out the best of this combination.
